Aventum advised owners of Pinja Group Oy on the carve-out sale of Pinja Industry Oy focusing on industrial engineering and automation
Aventum acted as advisor to Pinja Group Oy and its owners on the carve-out sale of Pinja Industry Oy and Pinja’s local company in China (“Business”) to AFRY Group Finland Oy (“AFRY”).
In the transaction Pinja’s industrial engineering and automation, machine vision solutions and industrial testing system solutions will be transferred to AFRY. The Business is specialized in providing industrial planning and automation services for demanding industrial and production environments, for the full lifecycle of the clients’ business, with strong industry experience in forest industry, manufacturing, mobile machines and the energy sector. The Business includes approximately 150 employees working in nine cities in Finland and in Suzhou, China. Net sales of the Business in 2020 was approximately 14 MEUR.
Post transaction Pinja Group will purely be a software company with a focus on industrial software solutions, tailored customer-specific software development and business intelligence solutions. After the transaction Pinja Group will employ approximately 400 IT experts and remain as the leading provider of industry SaaS software solutions in the market areas of forest, manufacturing, circular economy and bioenergy industries as well as inspection business with selection of over ten industry SaaS solutions.
Closing of the transaction is planned for 1st of June 2021.
