Aventum supported Kreate and its management in preparing for IPO

Kreate, a leading Finnish infrastructure contractor, was successfully listed on the main list of Nasdaq Helsinki. The IPO was several times oversubscribed with Kreate receiving a record-breaking 18 600 new shareholders. As part of the IPO, Intera Fund II Ky sold part of its ownership in Kreate to institutional and private investors.

Kreate was formed in 2014 through the merger of Fin-Seula Oy, Insinööritoimisto Seppo Rantala Oy and Kesälahden Maansiirto Oy. Since the merger, Kreate has successfully integrated the companies, implemented its growth strategy, executed add-on acquisitions, and strengthened market position, among others. Today, Kreate employs about 450 construction professionals and had a turnover of 220 MEUR in 2019.

The company operates in a strong Finnish infrastructure market driven by large renovation debt, national transport-system plan, and land use, housing and transport agreements (MAL). Increasing urbanization is further adding to the complexity of the projects and Kreate’s broad and specialised offering, high customer and employee satisfaction and ability to utilise digital tools will be an advantage.  A successful IPO will help the company stay on the path of profitable growth.

Aventum’s role was to support Kreate and its management in preparing for the listing.
